What we collect
Calculator inputs: the values you enter into our calculators (ceiling, slab, vehicle weight, etc.) are processed entirely in your browser. They are not transmitted to our servers, not logged, and not associated with you.
Server logs: like every web server, our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp, path requested) for security and operational diagnostics. We do not analyze these for tracking purposes; the host retains them per its own retention policy.
Email capture (when implemented): if you provide an email to receive a calculator result or update, we will store that email solely to send what you requested and any clearly-labeled follow-up. You can unsubscribe in one click.
We do not use: Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, ad networks, behavioral profiling, or any third-party tracker that builds a profile of you.
Cookies
We do not set first-party tracking cookies. The only first-party cookies that may be present are session cookies for our content management system if/when one is added; these are not used for analytics or advertising.
Third-party links
Affiliate links to Amazon (and other retailers in the future) carry tracking parameters that identify the click as ours for commission purposes. Once you click an affiliate link and leave our site, that destination's privacy policy applies. Amazon's tracking practices are governed by Amazon.
Affiliate identification
Our Amazon affiliate links include our Associates tag. Amazon uses cookies on their domain to attribute the purchase. We never see what you bought, what you paid, or any personal information beyond aggregated commission reports.
Children
This site is intended for adults purchasing tools for home garages. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Your rights
If you live in California, the EU/UK, or any jurisdiction with data-subject rights (CCPA, GDPR, etc.), and we hold any data on you (most likely just an email if you opted in), you may request access, correction, or deletion. Email contact with your request.
Data retention
We retain emails captured via opt-in until you unsubscribe or until the project ends. Server-log retention is governed by our hosting provider.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above will change when we do. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 14 days.
